So, how do you calculate what size of a air conditioner you need?
Providing you do not have south/west facing windows or excessive heat generating items in the room, the minimum cooling duty required can generally be calculated by multiplying the room’s cubic metre area by .04 as in the following example:-
Room Size: - 6mtrs x 4.5mtrs x 3mtrs = 81 cubic metres.
Calculation: - 81 cubic metres x .04 = estimated minimum cooling requirement of 3.24kW
Dramatic oversizing (or undersizing come to that) can lead to performance and reliability problems later in the day.
PTP35D Twin Hose Monobloc
This 3.5kW monobloc is more effective than most other mobiles in as much as it is supplied with 2 air hoses (one to bring condenser air in – and one to exhaust it), and this allows room air to be recirculated, cooled and dehumidified.
The PTP35D will drop the room temperature down to the set point far quicker than a standard single exhaust hose system so it’s economic to run as well.

The TC21 can run from a 13 amp plug top* and offers an ideal temporary solution for cooling server rooms, convenience stores, shops, stock rooms, factory workers and marquees
The unit's cold air "Elephants Trunks" are supplied as standard. The exhaust cowl, and a 10 metre exhaust duct (that can be fitted and cut to a suitable length) are extra. If you can stretch to a bit extra, then its best to go for insulated flex duct as this prevents unwanted extra heat gain in the room
*We recommend fitting an high rupture capacity (HRC) fuse to cope with the system's starting current pulse
The Avalanche
The Avalanche is a chilled water system on wheels! The water circulates through a water cooled condenser where the heat is absorbed and then is pumped through the water lines to the outdoor unit where the water is cooled. The cooled water is then pumped back through the flexible lines to the indoor unit and the process starts again.
The Avalanche delivers 6.7kW cooling all off a standard 13amp supply, and with the option of using up to 30 metres of water line it is supremely flexible ensuring it can go into almost any application.
